Altherm 1000 - the brand new event on the Motorsport calendar - one 500km race to contest six national endurance titles are planned for New Zealand’s newest racing circuit Hampton Downs Motorsport Park.

The Altherm 1000 is on this Saturday (5 June), and will involve drivers (minimum of two per car over the race duration) in a testing 179 laps negotiating 1071 corners (maximum race time: four hours). One race will include Open and Porsche GT3 classes while the other will comprise NZV8s, Production Racing cars, Minis and Suzuki Swift Sports Cup contestants.

With over 30 cars confirmed as starting it will no doubt be a fantastic race to watch, come along to Hampton Downs Motorsport Park this Saturday to watch it live. Qualifying is form 10.30am and the Altherm 1000 race starts at 12.30pm.
